THE REBBE MAHARASH

Throughout the years of his leadership the Rebbe Maharash did
not publish even one of his compositions. Only a year after his
passing was his first book printed:

71. Likutei Torah L’Gimel Parshios, Vilna, 1884.

This essentially consists of discourses from the Alter Rebbe,
with notes from the Tzemach Tzedek and the Rebbe
Maharash.

The Rebbe Maharash’s discourses were first printed here in
New York in 1945. They were printed in the form of facsimiles
of the handwritten copies of R. Shmuel the Scribe (R. Shmuel
Shriber).

The first of his books to be printed:

72. Likutei Torah Toras Shmuel, V’Hechrim, 1870-1, Kehot
1945.

Then the Rebbe edited for publication:

73. Sefer Toldos Admor Maharash, Kehot, 1947.

In more recent years many volumes of the Rebbe Maharash’s
teachings were printed, and also a special volume of his holy
letters:

74. Igros Kodesh Admor Maharash, Kehot, 1993.

Also presented in the Exhibition:

75. Two letters written by the Rebbe Maharash.

76. Transcripts he wrote of his father the Tzemach
Tzedek’s discourses in 1854, Manuscript 1117.

77. Sha’alos U’Teshuvos from the Rebbe Maharash,
Manuscript 1041.

78. Discourses of 1880-1, Manuscript 1130.

79. Wallet, from the Rebbe Maharash.

In the handwritten memorandum of the Previous Rebbe:

"This leather wallet for holding papers was bequeathed to
us by the Rebbe Maharash. I received it as a present from
my grandmother the Rabbitzen Rivka in the winter of
1888."

80. Megilas Esther, written by the Rebbe Maharash.
